World Hollywood’s Smoked Meat Montreal’s new restaurant in Fort Lauderdale pre-opened on January 18, serving approximately 150 delighted customers! The three owners were equally delighted after just a few days of opening their new restaurant, as we had the opportunity to speak with one of the two Montreal owners, James DeSantis.
“We’re really happy,” he exclaims. “Even after only two days of operation! I’m making smoked meat non-stop, and I didn’t think it would be as intense and fast-paced as it is right now.” It must be said that the reaction of Quebecers is simply “Wow!” James says, “Customers tell us, ‘We finally found a place with real smoked meat,’ so it’s a great feeling.”
Ingredients from Quebec
The authentic taste is there because, as the owner points out, « all the products come from Quebec: the smoked meat, the cheese, the sauce, etc. And that’s what makes the flavors authentic. The fries are made on site, which also makes all the difference, because poutine is best with fresh potatoes that are cut that morning. So everything really tastes like Quebec! »
Customer loyalty
James says he has added a “pinsa” to the menu. It tastes delicious because the dough is different from a normal pizza, but it’s crispy and a bit like focaccia bread. And people love it! The owner is delighted with this resounding success, as he is with the Italian focaccia bread sandwich, although the restaurant’s most notable feature is its famous smoked meat! According to James, “everyone finds it tender, succulent, and loves it.”

Note that Uber and Grubhub delivery services should be up and running by the time this is published, and beer and wine service should follow soon, as the license has already been approved. James adds, « We’re also going to broadcast Canadiens hockey games, knowing that this will attract a lot of people who will come to eat and watch the games. «
