UPDATE: NOTICE TO NEXUS CARDHOLDERS

Mr. Séguin, co-founder and partner at Exeo, confirmed to us that Canadians who last entered the United States through the NEXUS program are already registered; therefore, they do not need to fill out Form G-325R for this visit. Note that it is not simply holding a NEXUS card that matters, but the fact of having been admitted to the United States through this program upon the most recent entry—that is, by actually using the NEXUS card. A NEXUS member who enters through a regular port of entry without receiving an I-94 is still required to register as soon as their stay reaches 30 days. Thereafter, the NEXUS card serves as proof of registration, and the law requires that anyone 18 years of age or older keep it in their possession for the duration of their stay.

Mr. Séguin states: “Otherwise, nothing has changed. The registration requirement after 30 days remains in effect, the review is conducted anew for each stay, and a child who turns 14 in the United States must re-register even if they entered via NEXUS.”

Read the next issue of Soleil de la Floride, to be published on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, to learn more about the final rule issued by the Department of Homeland Security and Mr. Séguin’s warnings regarding the G-325R.
