HEAT WAVE ALERT
Authorities in Miami-Dade and Broward issued a heat wave alert on Tuesday, July 7. Temperatures will range from 90 to 95 ˚F (32–35 ˚C), with heat index readings reaching 106 ˚F (41 ˚C), between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. The heat wave is expected to continue over the next few days, with heat index readings possibly reaching 110 ˚F (43 ˚C) by the end of the week. The Naples and Immokalee areas are also included in the heat wave advisory.
Here’s a reminder of the standard recommendations during heat waves: check in on older adults; don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink and stay hydrated; don’t leave young children or pets in a parked vehicle.

Tickets are sold out: the free World Cup watch parties at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise are unfortunately already sold out for July 11 and 19.
You can always fall back on the public screenings organized at NoMi Village, located at 12351 NW 7th Avenue, North Miami, on July 11 at 5 p.m. for a quarterfinal match and on July 19 at 3 p.m. for the final.
There are many other options for watching the final match in a festive atmosphere on Sunday, July 19, at 3 p.m.:
