During the holiday season, we visited Epic Universe, Universal’s newest park in Orlando, which opened to the public in May 2025. We thought it would be a good idea to share some photos and impressions with you to give you a better idea of this theme park, which consists of five immersive worlds.
First of all, the site is magnificent. It must be said that its novelty makes it attractive, as nothing is outdated compared to other parks we know.
Celestial Park is simply majestic, with its outdoor water fountains that transform into a colorful spectacle at 10 p.m., its Atlantic restaurant offering gourmet food by the sparkling waters of the Neptune pool, and its luxurious Helios Grand Hotel. Epic Universe is also the only amusement park to have a hotel within its grounds, with a dedicated entrance. So, if you visit the hotel or its restaurant, you will have to go through security again and show your ticket to return to the attractions.
It should also be noted that Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, in the How to Train Your Dragon world, is also impressive with its speed and surprising curves, as is Donkey Kong: Mine-Cart Madness, in Super Nintendo World, with its unexpected tricks and illusions of jumping off rails.
In fact, our favorite world is none other than Super Nintendo. The colors, accessories, music, and sounds of the video games really make us feel like we’re in the world of Mario Bros and Luigi.
And for the faint of heart, Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge is a 3D/4D motion simulation, where you wear augmented reality glasses to race on Mario Kart tracks. A most entertaining ride!
The other simulation we really enjoyed—not to mention our favorite—is Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. What’s more, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is captivating thanks to its bold blend of 1920s Paris and the iconic Ministry of Magic. Don’t miss its spectacular circus show and French cafés!
Finally, we also loved the Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment ride. This dark ride is much more than just a simulator: the combination of physical sets, animatronics, screens, and dynamic movements offers a unique and thrilling experience. It is located in Dark Universe, a world dedicated to Universal’s classic monsters.
