An afternoon at Mizner Park

Boca Raton, located halfway between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, is a small seaside resort with less than 100,000 inhabitants that welcomes a rather affluent clientele, including residents who sometimes come here to enjoy their retirement in the sun, but also seasonal residents from the North, who are joined by passing tourists, all attracted by the sun, golf courses, polo club, world-renowned tennis schools, and numerous festive events of all kinds.

Mizner Park at the center of the city’s social and cultural life

Mizner Park is a premier residential neighborhood in downtown Boca Raton with luxury apartments built in a neo-Mediterranean architectural style, home to a relatively affluent population. It should be noted that the neo-Mediterranean architectural design was created by the Cooper-Carry firm and is named after architect Addison Mizner, founder of Boca Raton.

This neighborhood also includes a collection of high-end shops and restaurants, mainly clustered in the Mizner Park shopping center, which opened in 1991 on the site of the former Boca Mall, which opened in 1974. It is also home to the Mizner Park Cultural Center, located at the northern end of the development, which includes an amphitheater and the Boca Raton Museum of Art, bringing community recreation and major festivities to this neighborhood throughout the year.

Spectators are invited to enjoy activities both in the Mizner Park Amphitheater and throughout the park, where they can watch live music, dance, and cultural performances by local groups on two separate stages and, in between, explore a lively market. For the occasion, part of the Mizner Park neighborhood has been transformed into a pedestrian zone with dozens of food vendors, kiosks offering a variety of high-quality items, and local artisans.

For one afternoon, as part of its “Boca Street Fest” activity, the city welcomes its residents to Mizner Park to share a moment of fun and community festivities. The mayor of Boca Raton may even take the stage to celebrate and highlight current services, priorities, achievements, and his vision for the future of the city.

All cultural and artistic performances take place at the Mizner Park Amphitheater, located at 590 Plaza Real in Boca Raton, and are open-air.
