The team at the well-known Dairy Belle restaurant is waiting for you in Dania Beach, just like before, with service still in French. Roxanne Legault, formerly an assistant to the restaurant’s former owner, François Grenier, has taken over as general manager, while her colleague, Caroline Cochon, has become her assistant. Together, they’re looking forward to welcoming you for the new season.
“It’s very important to me that Quebecers remember us,” Roxanne tells Le Soleil de la Floride. “We’re here, we’re waiting for you, and you’ll see the same faces you’re used to seeing serving you.”
Lower prices, new combos, and a few comebacks to note
Since the arrival of new owner David Bostwick, the layout on the screens has been rearranged to display the menu, which hasn’t changed: “We still have poutine, hot chicken, hot hamburgers, spaghetti, homemade sauce, club sandwiches, BBQ sauce, and we offer the same soft-serve ice cream that Quebecers know and love,” explains the general manager.
“I’ve kept all the same recipes that François used to make, and I’m the one preparing them now, since I was already very familiar with them.”
One new feature is the option to order a combo; for example, by purchasing a $5 hot dog, which includes a side of your choice (fries, onion rings, etc.) and a drink. Also, note that spaghetti and guédilles (plain or with chicken) are now available at all times, including during the summer season.
And beer and wine are always available for purchase on-site. For beer, the price has dropped to $5 per glass on tap, which is a generous pour for the price.
It’s worth noting that prices across the entire menu have gone down compared to what was previously listed.
