NEW POLL: THE NOVEMBER 2026 ELECTIONS WILL BE CLOSE
A new poll conducted by EDGE Communications and MDW Communications among 1,800 Floridians predicts that the midterm elections will be very close between Democrats and Republicans. According to the report: “The poll reveals a perfect storm of rising costs, unpopular foreign policy, and divisive immigration policy, which is driving down Trump’s approval ratings and weakening the Republican Party’s overall image in Florida. ” When asked about their voting intentions between the two parties for the Florida Congress, respondents gave a slight edge to the Democrats. Similarly, the races for governor, U.S. senator, and attorney general are shaping up to be highly contested, even though some of those surveyed remain undecided.
According to Christian Ulvert of EDGE Communications: “What we’re seeing in Florida isn’t very different from what we’re seeing in the rest of the country. The situation is evolving in real time, and Democrats are clearly mobilized and galvanized.”
TRAFFIC: SIX MILLION FEDERAL DOLLARS FOR I-75
This was announced by U.S. Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart, a Miami native. Six million dollars are expected to be allocated to the Florida Department of Transportation to help alleviate traffic congestion on I-75 near Hialeah Gardens and Miami Lakes, between NW 170th Street and NW 154th Street.
The federal funds come from a bill signed into law on February 3 by Donald Trump, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2026, totaling $1.2 trillion to fund federal agencies and programs through September 30.
IS LIV GOLF HEADED FOR TROUBLE?
This may be the future awaiting the LIV Golf League. As the Saudi Public Investment Fund presented its new five-year plan (2026–2030), concern has spread among fans and employees over the potential withdrawal of financial support. CEO Scott O’Neil attempted to quell the speculation by confirming that the 2026 season would in no way be affected: “Our season is proceeding exactly as planned, without interruption and at full throttle.”
Launched in 2022, the LIV League has distributed $1 billion to attract top-tier players, including Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson from Jupiter, Palm Beach County. Since then, some have already left to return to the PGA Tour.
According to Money in Sport, LIV has already spent $5.3 billion and plans to reach $6 billion by the end of 2026. And although the Saudi withdrawal has been planned for some time, it is possible that the war in Iran could exert additional pressure on the Saudis to reconsider certain priorities.
