Spirit Airlines, the Dania Beach-based airline that continues to outpace all other airlines in terms of passenger numbers at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, is adding new direct flights to Grand Cayman and Belize.
Network Planning Vice President John Kirby told the Sun Sentinel, “Fort Lauderdale is our home. It’s one of our better performing stations. We think there is an opportunity to do more in Fort Lauderdale. There are many markets unserved from Fort Lauderdale. Belize and Grand Cayman are good examples of those.”
Grand Cayman – Luxury and crystal clear waters

REMINDER: Direct flights to Key West from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport: launching November 6 with four flights per week, then daily service starting December 18 for the holiday season. The only direct flight between the two cities, according to the airline.
