A history well established!

Date:

LE SOLEIL DE LA FLORIDE STILL REMAINS THE ONLY FRENCH NEWSPAPER REACHING ANNUALLY 1.2 MILLION FRENCH CANADIAN TOURISTS AND SNOWBIRDS VISITING FLORIDA.

Le Soleil de La Floride, which has been providing tourist oriented news to the French Canadian market for approximately 35 years, continues to provide what its readership want. Le Soleil de la Floride has been owned by two of Canada’s largest media firms, Hollinger Publishing, and then Transcontinental in Montreal. For the past 15 years it has been owned by Louis S. St. Laurent II and Yves Beauchamp.

During that time, various competitors came and went, leaving their advertisers bitter since they got fooled, most of the time. Presently Le Soleil de la Floride is the only French newspaper in Florida publishing 35 times per year and offering a sound product with a various content and a wide distribution that is certified.

Le Soleil de la Floride is located in Hollywood, the center of the French Canadian market. It covers South Beach to Fort Pierce with almost 450 places of private and public distribution during the season.

For the past several years, Denise Dumont has been in charge of the improved content of this newspaper. She also represents this newspaper in many other ways, including frequent interviews with the Canadian press and appearing on the French television station “Telefloride” broadcasting in South Florida and on Internet.

Le Soleil de La Floride publishes an annual French tourist guide ACCES FLORIDE with some 100,000 copies, which are circulated in both Florida and in the Province of Quebec and other French speaking areas of Canada. It contains over 110 Pages of information and advertisers and is very popular as it allows advertisers to be in an annual tourist guide which has a readership of over 300,000. It is prepared for publication during the summer months and distributed at the start of the tourist season in both Florida and Canada.

This newspaper also provides information to protect its readership from fraud and other mistakes to avoid in Florida. These articles relate to the purchasing of properties, placing title to properties in a way to avoid the need and high cost of a future Florida probate proceeding, problems of renovations performed by unlicensed licensed contractors, construction without proper permits, and other legal problems it’s readership might encounter.

The publication will continue as long as Canadian tourists visit Florida and will keep improving the content of this newspaper.

Le soleil de la Floride is a free newspaper and is the only way for Florida businesses, such as banks, realtors, attractions, restaurants, festivals, casinos, construction, and various services offered, to reach the French Canadians and French market in South Florida. It is published 35 times a year with 12 of those publication being circulated monthly in both Florida and Canada, especially in the Province of Quebec, where it is sold in some 1,200 locations.
