Ruth Bertrand runs RB Ambiance Décor, a company specializing in creating welcoming, elegant, and functional spaces that inspire and delight her clients. We had the opportunity to meet with Ms. Bertrand so she could tell us more about her interior design services, which infuse the art of French elegance into home décor and real estate staging.
Distinguished Style
Ms. Bertrand stands out for her original touch that catches the eye: “Before diving into real estate design, I worked for years in haute couture for several major brands such as Chanel, Dior, and Hermès. So I have a deep understanding of fabrics, colors, materials, and how to blend them. When I create an interior design, I apply—in line with the client’s desired style—that touch of elegance that makes all the difference, thanks to my European background and my extensive experience in the world of haute couture.”
The interior design expert caters to every style her clients desire—ranging from Mediterranean to modern, contemporary, traditional, and more—not to mention coastal (seaside) styles—always adding her unique touch while satisfying her clients’ personal tastes. “What matters to me is that my clients are happy,” says Ms. Bertrand. “I’m here to work with all styles and to offer advice so that when my clients return home to Florida—for example, snowbirds who travel back and forth—they’re happy in their sunny home, feel comfortable, and can enjoy pleasant moments.”
Types of Projects
In addition to interior design and handling home renovations or the design of outdoor terraces and patios, the designer also does staging for properties being put on the market for sale, for rent, or to be listed on Airbnb. She even has clients for whom she does staging to help sell their homes in Florida, for example, and whom she also assists with furnishing their new homes in California. Ms. Bertrand values the relationship of trust that develops between her and her clients, whom she genuinely seeks to help and satisfy.
She also takes on commercial projects, such as interior design for restaurants, hotels, and lobbies—an area she finds particularly appealing.
